Garlic Order Form 2008

SORRY! AT THIS TIME WE ARE SOLD OUT OF GARLIC.

See the descriptions of our certified organic and hand sorted, hardy garlic bulbs below:
Silver White-Softneck, stores longer than any other garlic bulb we grow, numerous cloves, excellent for braiding with strong, flexible stems and a beautiful silver white bulb. A silverskin type of garlic with many fine layers of protective skin. (Average of 8-10 med. cloves per bulb)
Bianca-Softneck, Similar to silver white but has fewer cloves and not recommended for braiding. An artichoke type variety of garlic that stores very well. (Average of 8 med. cloves per bulb)
German Extra Hardy-Hardneck-NEW! large and tasty bulbs.  We like this kind for its size and robust taste. (Average of 6 cloves per bulb) LIMITED SUPPLY in 2008!
Asian Tempest-Hardneck-our strongest tasting garlic and first to harvest. Medium sized cloves, very easy to peel and good for slicing or grinding into minced garlic, with a very spicy taste. It grows the top "scapes" as a hardneck variety does.
An Asiatic type garlic strain with light purple stripes. (Average of 4 med. cloves per bulb)
Romanian Red-Hardneck-we grow this type for our local market crop. This garlic can have huge cloves! It is a favorite of ours for slicing and cooking with. A porcelain type garlic. (Average of 4 large cloves per bulb) NOT SHIPPING THIS VARIETY IN 2009
Carpathian-Hardneck-we grow this type also for our local market. This garlic has medium cloves that are very uniform in size and shape. It is also a tasty favorite of ours for cooking with.  (Average of 5 med. cloves per bulb) NOT SHIPPING THIS VARIETY IN 2009
We plan to offer again in 2009 10 bulb sample packs of two types (our choice) for $13.50 and $6.00 Priority Mail Shipping, TOTAL $19.50 With a hardneck and a softneck variety included above.
The hardneck varieties grow "scapes", garlic tops that must be cut in late June so the bulbs will grow to their full size. These tops are excellent in stir fry, a potato salad, with eggs or anyway you would use a scallion. They can also be ground up to make a pesto and store well in a refrigerated jar with olive oil.

We ship orders to customers living in the mainland USA, Priority Mail.
