A perennial shrubby herb type plant with many uses of the leaves and roots in forage, soaps, salves and is also used as a compost plant or border plant.

Likes a fairly acidic soil with good drainage and a good amount of sun. This is a fairly fast growing plant with many large leaves. In folk medicine it had more uses than almost any other plant we grow!

Usually they can be transplanted in late summer and fall as well because the roots are very hardy!
