Here at the farm, we propagate Certified Organic Aloe Vera plants by removing the offsets
which are produced around the base of mature plants, when they get
overcrowded.
Care:
Water thoroughly when the soil is dry to the touch but do not soak. Do
not let the plant freeze or it will die. Unless you live in area with a
very mild climate, it's best to leave your Aloe plant in the pot and
place it near a window that gets some morning
or afternoon sun.
You can move the pot outdoors during the summer months. We ship when the
weather is above freezing for at least three days.

The
Aloe plant is believed to have originated in Africa. In the past it has
been traded through the ancient world as far as India and the Far East. It is a member of the Liliaceae (Lily family).
Split open a leaf to find a sticky liquid that has been isolated for
medicinal uses. The inner membrane part is processed for cosmetic uses.
The gel of the aloe vera leaves can help to relieve pain when applied to
cuts and burns. Just cut off a bottom leaf cut it open and apply fresh
on your sunburn. I have used it on poison ivy for relief also.
