EGYPTIAN ONION ORDER FORM
Egyptian onions babies are available, starting in August, usually
until sold out. These
starts are grown for
spring and fall scallions or left alone to grow into adult plants to
produce more babies. We have also grown the babies very
successfully throughout the winter in deep pots and can harvest the
scallions all winter!

Also called "Walking Onions"
This perennial garden onion is the very earliest and hardiest
onion we grow here at the farm. The whole plant in the spring can be
used like scallions, freshly cut up in salads, stir fries, egg dishes, sauces
and much more to give food a great onion flavor!
By mid-late summer they are too tough to eat but produce small bulbs at
the tops of stems above the ground. The baby bulbs of these plants are
separated then planted. They can also be used for pickling. Availability:
Egyptian onion babies are available starting in August!
The adult plants are available in April through
November, except July & August when they are producing babies.
Pricing: Bare rooted, year old plants are $1.50 each
